Pirate glass is a dark piece of seaglass, it looks black but also can be a very very dark green or brown but appears black in most lights, it’s often mistaken as a pebble and not as glass until it’s lifted into the light. In the light it most commonly appears yellow, orange, brown or green. All the pieces shown when in the light will be a range one of these colours (Row H are a lighter/brighter colour) Pirate glass is fairly rare and not often found.
Depending on the light, natural sunlight, a torch etc… the colour will appear different. I’ve included two videos both using an iPhone torch which shows how the colours appear different due to the torch and phone camera quality.
