Flowers & leaves print greeting cards created from original cyanotypes using flowers and leaves I collected from my garden.
Cards are printed on FSC recycled paper, with a kraft envelope secured in a compostable cellophane bag.
Cyanotype: Cyanotype (sun printing) is a photographic process where a light sensitive solution is applied to paper. The flowers, seaweed etc… is then placed on top of the paper and exposed to sunlight. The UV from the sun then develops the solution on the paper leaving the outlines from the items placed on top. The paper is then rinsed in water creating a beautiful blue print.
